Prepare and practice your “elevator pitch”

Prepare and practice your “elevator pitch”

In the book “How to find a job in 30 days”, I wrote a chapter about the importance of preparing and practising your “elevator pitch”.

Anytime you find new examples of “elevator pitch”, I commit to updating this article in order to complement the information that I share in the book.

Exemple 1

Part 1 – Introduce yourself: I’m an environmental consultant, involved in licensing big building projects (e.g. industry, wind farms);

Part 2 – Ask a question and wait a second before giving the answer: Did you know that birds and bats die when they fly into the blades of wind turbines?

Part 3 – Answer your own question with a description of what you do, starting “I…” and ending “This way…”

Here’s an example of what I mean: “I carry out studies to make sure my clients’ projects respect the conservation of nature. This way I make sure the projects abide by environmental law and are approved by local authorities.”
